Wolf Range Repair
When a Wolf range acts up, it is usually one of two stories: a surface burner that clicks and clicks without lighting, or an oven section that no longer holds its heat. We repair both — same-day or next-day appointments throughout Manhattan Beach, Rancho Palos Verdes, Rolling Hills, Torrance, and Hermosa Beach. Call (310) 361-3551 and cook dinner on it again this week.
Symptoms we're called for
- A burner clicks continuously but will not light
- Burner keeps sparking even after it lights, or after the knob is off
- Flame is weak, yellow, or lopsided on one or more burners
- One burner is dead while the others work
- The oven section will not heat while the cooktop works fine
- Griddle or grill section not reaching temperature
- Knob turns but nothing responds
- Range trips the breaker when switched on
What the repair involves
A Wolf range is really two appliances in one chassis, and we service both halves. On the surface side, we handle igniter and spark-system faults, dead or uneven burners, and flame-quality problems. On the oven side, we deal with heating failures, temperature drift, and the control and relay boards that run it all. A recent example from Torrance: a Wolf oven igniter, diagnosed and replaced in about an hour. The technician texts you 20–40 minutes before arriving, quotes the job before touching a screwdriver, and backs the finished repair with a 1-year warranty — up to 2 years on select repairs. No hidden fees at any step.
Safe checks before you call
A couple of things are worth ruling out before you call:
- Check the breaker — even a gas range needs power for ignition and controls, and a tripped breaker can silence every burner at once
- Look at the control settings; a lock or timer function can make the range ignore its knobs
- Make sure vents and grilles around the range are clear, since blocked airflow affects performance
- Note any error code shown on the display before it clears
Do not go further than that. Anything involving the burner assemblies, gas components, or wiring belongs to a technician — and if you ever smell gas, stop using the range and contact your gas utility before anything else.
Repair or replace?
Pro-style ranges are built around heavy, serviceable components, and the parts that fail — igniters, spark modules, boards — are exactly the parts made to be replaced. A new Wolf range is a major purchase and often a delivery-and-installation project on top of it, especially in a fitted kitchen. Unless the diagnosis turns up damage across multiple major systems, repair is almost always the economical call, and our 1-year warranty (up to 2 years on select repairs) means you are not gambling on the fix.
Every completed repair is covered by our written warranty — 1 year by default, up to 2 years on select repairs. Warranty details.

Questions about this repair
My burner keeps clicking. Is that dangerous?
Constant clicking usually points to a fault in the ignition system, and it is a reason to book service rather than an emergency by itself. Stop using that burner until it is looked at. If you ever smell gas around the range, stop using the appliance entirely and contact your gas utility first.
Can I keep using the working burners until you arrive?
In most cases, yes — if the problem is isolated to one burner and there is no gas smell, the rest of the cooktop can generally be used. Mention the exact symptom when you book at (310) 361-3551 and we will tell you if there is any reason to hold off. With same-day or next-day appointments, the wait is short either way.
How long does a range repair take?
It depends on the fault, but many common range repairs are finished within a single visit. From our records, a Wolf oven igniter replacement in Torrance took about an hour. The technician quotes the work before starting, so you will know the scope up front.
Do you fix the oven part of the range too, or just the burners?
Both. The oven cavity of a Wolf range is fully within our scope — heating and temperature problems, igniters, and the control and relay boards behind them. One appointment covers the whole range, whichever half is misbehaving.
