Sub-Zero Ice Maker: No Ice
| Appliance | Sub-Zero |
| Location | Rancho Palos Verdes, CA |
| Reported symptom | Ice maker stopped working |
| Work performed | Traced the fault through the water path and ice maker assembly, and restored ice production using OEM parts. |
What happened
On an older built-in, an ice maker that quits can be the assembly, the inlet valve, or a fill line that froze after a slow fill. Working the water path in order is what separates a fixed ice maker from a replaced one that fails again.
Ice production was restored with OEM parts and verified through a full cycle before we left.
